CABE/DAPA Housing

La Direction de l’Architecture et du Patrimoine, DAPA, has received formal support from the Maire de Paris for up to 5 housing projects within Paris; and Senart Ville Nouvelle, south of Paris, has also confirmed up to 4 sites.

CABE has had positive meetings with the Housing Corporation and GLA to begin identifying projects in the south east and London to complement those in France.

CABE, represented by Sir Stuart Lipton and La Direction de l’Architecture et du Patrimoine, DAPA,(within the French Ministry of Culture) represented by Wanda Diebolt, have signed a joint action plan to build upon the Anglo-French housing conference held in London in December 2000. Ian Ritchie, CABE Emeritus Commissioner, has been representing CABE in detailed discussions that will see French and English architects working together on public housing projects in France and England before the end of 2002. DAPA have identified the first French site at Senart Ville Nouvelle, south of Paris, for the realisation of 120 units. CABE will be appointing a Housing project leader this summer.
