Housing for the 21st Century

The Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851

After the successful award of early Fellowships for research into ‘Landscape and Modernity’, ‘Urban Issues’ and, more recently, into ‘Human Habitation’ and ‘Transport for the Built Environment’, the Commission now intends to make a further, similar award.

Candidates should be UK or Commonwealth citizens, carrying out research over a 2 year period, culminating in either a personal mark of distinction (eg. PhD) or a milestone or work of significance. The value of the award is £30,000pa for each of two years.
