New International Albums for Young Architects 2003/2004

Following the success of the re-launch of the New International Albums for Young Architects 2002/2003, Ian Ritchie has accepted the invitation from the French Ministry of Culture through DAPA (la Direction de l’Architecture et du Patrimoine) to be co-president of the international jury consisting of architects, clients and critics that will select the Young Architect laureates for 2003/2004.

How do you build, get invited to participate in competitions, get to know potential clients and gain their confidence when you are a young architect under 35 years old?

In 1980, the French were the first country to launch such an initiative in support of young French architects. Up until 1994 more than 250 architects had benefited from this support, including Michel Kagan, Jean-Paul Morel, Francoise Jourda, Giles Perraudin, Dominique Perrault, Jean-Marc Ibos and Odile Decq.

The initiative is being run through DAPA in liaison with the l’Institut fran袩s d’architecture (IFA).

To enter the competition potential candidates must sign-up online by: Friday 31 October 2003 (midnight).

The deadline for submissions is Friday 14 November 2003, 2pm
