20th July saw the topping out with the placing of the glass to the Recital Hall cupola. The pictures show the Principal Jonathan Freeman-Attwood with the architect, Ian Ritchie.

‘Topping Out’ is traditionally when the building’s construction reaches its highest point, and was organised by the contractor – Osborne.

The new Opera – Theatre and Recital Hall – both public performance spaces – and the refurbished teaching rooms will be completed before the end of 2017.
