Al Farabi Street Towers

Al Farabi Street Towers: Back road perspective (day)Designed by Ian Ritchie Architects Ltd with ARUP for Base-MK.
The project consisted of establishing ‘marker’ buildings on four separate sites along Al Farabi Street, each with a site footprint of a little over 100m2. The purpose was to help invigorate the upper part of the street and to create identifiable buildings which would help establish BASE0-MK as a forward thinking developer in Kazakhstan. The designs developed from a ‘duplex office’ idea and each rose the equivalent of 16 floors. The sun facing facades were conceived as tall winter gardens protected by glass shades.
