iRAL are delighted that the restoration, rehabilitation and conversion of the Farsons Old Brewhouse has received unanimous approval by the Maltese planning authority MEPA.
iRAL and TBA Periti local architects and engineers, presented the project to the board at the public hearing on the 12th January.
It was noted that the design will breathe new life into the grade 2 listed art deco style brewery which represents an important milestone, both in the history of this landmark building and, more importantly, establishes a ‘game changing’ perspective for industrial heritage in Malta.
The renaissance of the 7,000m2 Old Brewhouse once completed will be a thrilling experience for work, play and relaxation, enjoyed by visitors and occupying tenants alike. The overall proposal for the Farsons Business Park site provides an exemplar model for large-scale commercial development on Malta – paying special attention not to compromise the island’s skyline or historic sight-lines between Valletta and Mdina.
