Royal Academy of Music’s new Opera-Musical Theatre and new Recital Hall have received rapturous reviews.
‘The spaces are stunningly beautiful, acoustically brilliant and inspiring. They will raise the bar and challenge the students and staff in every possible form of music to reach higher and search further.’
Jonathan Freeman-Attwood, Principal, Royal Academy of Music
The Duchess of Gloucester, President of the Royal Academy of Music, officially opened the 100 seat public Angela Burgess Recital Hall in February, and in March, The Princess Royal, Chancellor of the University of London, opened the 309 seat The Susie Sainsbury Theatre for opera and musicals.
The rooftop Recital Hall also serves as a rehearsal space for the main theatre and as a professional recording studio.
