Therme Forum: Public Spaces – Built and Virtual Environments

iRAL has been invited to attend this year’s Therme Forum: Public Spaces – Built and Virtual Environments as part of the 26th Sibiu International Theatre Festival (FITS) which runs from 14th – 23rd June 2019.

Jose Garrido will represent iRAL in a discussion on Public Spaces Inside Buildings / Blurring The Boundary which will take place on 21st June 2019 at the Forumul Democrat al Germanilor Sibiu, Romania. He will be joined by Frida Escobedo (Mexico), Andy Bryce, Daniel Wright (RSHP, UK) and Guo Chenzi (Yue Opera Town, China).

The forum is a series of conversations over the course of 3 days which will take place in preparation for the development, design and construction of a new building for the Radu Stanca National Theatre, a home of FITS. A group of world-class architects, arts leaders, public officials will come together at Therme Forum to discuss important aspects of a project that we anticipate will change the city of Sibiu in many positive ways. The discussion aims to explore if we can blur the boundaries to create a more meaningful city experience through a single building project. Where does a building begin and end?
